The food was really good. All very freshly cooked and came to the table piping hot.

Bought an extra voucher so my parents could come with me as it was my Dad’s 70th. I informed Derek, the manager of the special occasion. Wasn’t expecting them to do much. On arrival, we were greeted with a birthday message for my dad on the blackboard outside the pub. And on our table, there were 70th birthday banners, balloons and party poppers set up. Totally out of my expectation. The food was really good. All very freshly cooked and came to the table piping hot. We ordered whitebait and tiger prawns to start, 3 different types of steaks and ribs for mains. Everything was delicious and cooked to our preference. With the voucher, we could ordered everything on the menu apart from the sharing platter and £5 surcharge for Fillet steak and their Medallion fillet which both were ordered. Rooms were comfortable, warm, quiet, spacious and clean. There were tea, coffee and hot chocolate making facilities.

They go the extra mile for birthday celebrations so be sure to visit if you're celebrating turning a year older and wiser!
