What did your experience entail?
We arrived 15 minutes before our experience started, as stipulated in the very clear instructions that accompanied the voucher. Following a brief health and safety briefing, we all donned our life jackets and boarded the Rib. We were fortunate in that we had a wonderful late summer evening for the trip, with the setting sun lighting up the skyline. The Rib left the jetty, which was located behind the London Eye, and set off north at a restricted speed which allowed our guide to explain key buildings and historic facts in addition to taking specific questions from ourselves. Once we cleared the centre of London the boat sped up and blasted out the tunes as it segway’d and twisted its way up the river. The trip lasts about 45 minutes and travels quite a way along the river. There is plenty of opportunity to take photos, enjoy a free cocktail and delight in the varying architecture and skyline that is London. It is a unique way to experience London.
What did you enjoy the most?
The experience is a combination of high-speed thrill and city sightseeing with commentary. The guide on board is both informative and very funny. The James Bond music was a perfect match to the quick turns the boat was making.
Top Tip
1. Take one of the back seats as you get the best views from there.
2. Even in the summer, it may get a little chilly on the water late in the day, so have an extra layer on hand.
