I am a burger-holic, especially homemade, fresh burgers and this was up there with the best I’ve had for sure!
What did you get up to?
My friend and I visited the Chequers of Orwell in Cambridge for this tasty experience. On arrival, we were welcomed by the friendly staff, served a beer, and then ushered to our table. To quench our thirst, we both ordered a pint of Hell’s lager, brewed by Camden Town Brewery. My usual preference for an alcoholic beverage is a cider, however, I really enjoyed this fine lager. Our voucher didn’t entitle us to a starter; however, we ordered the Tempura King Prawns and they were absolutely delicious! After enjoying our heavenly starter, we were then served our burgers which were truly to die for. Served in a brioche bun, each ingredient was fresh and complimented each other well whilst melting in your mouth.
Overall, this was a great experience, and I would recommend you all to try this fantastic experience.

Upon arrival at the DoubleTree by Hilton in London West End my friend and I were immediately in awe of the venue and décor.
What did you get up to?
Upon arrival at the DoubleTree by Hilton in London West End my friend and I were immediately in awe of the venue and décor. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and very welcoming. We were seated by staff straight away and asked what type of tea we would like. We paid a small upgrade to the Afternoon with Bubbly so we could enjoy a glass of champagne each to make the most of our experience. We were asked whether we would like our champagne served before or after we had eaten – I think it was great that you’re given a choice so your champagne remains chilled for when you're ready to enjoy it. After a short wait our afternoon tea was served! We enjoyed a large plate of sandwiches with different fillings such as cucumber & soft cheese or honey glazed gammon & grain mustard, they were all delicious! The homemade sultana scones were served slightly warm with clotted cream and strawberry jam. We then enjoyed various delicious cakes such as mini Victoria sponges, raspberry mousse, chocolate mousse and pecan sponge cake. We had the most amazing day in a lovely venue and I would certainly recommend the afternoon tea to anyone!
What did you enjoy the most?
The venue and décor was stunning and we loved relaxing in this type of atmosphere.

The biomes are incredible, especially the tropical rain forest...
What did you get up to?
We had an interesting day out exploring different plants form around the world. The biomes are incredible, especially the tropical rain forest, and the range of different plants/trees and scenery is amazing. Even though the weather wasn’t great we still managed to spend 3-4 hours exploring both of the biomes. There are plenty of places to eat, we had some tasty sandwiches in the café which were very reasonably priced. If I had more time on the day I would have definitely had a go at the zip wire, which is England's longest and fastest zip wire, it looked great fun!
What did you enjoy the most?
I enjoyed the tropical rain forest part! It felt like I was in a different country.

We arrived at Nene Valley Railway, Wansford a little early, so we sat in the Café and had a Cornish pasty and Cappuccino. We then went outside and walked about until it was time to board the train. You had a choice of private booths or public, we decided on a private booth. First stop Yarwell this is the end of the track in the opposite direction to Peterborough. On route you go through a tunnel that lasts approx. 2 minutes our very knowledgeable conductor Andrew told us that this was the tunnel that was used in the James Bond movie Octopussy. We got off while we waited for the train engine to turn around to go back to Wansford and onto Peterborough, first stop on the journey to Peterborough is Overton where we stepped off for 5 minutes to take in the lovely morning sun and waited for more passengers to board, next stop Orton. Once we got to Peterborough, we took a lovely stroll into town, where we wondered about the malls and shops. On our way back to the station for our journey back home, we stopped along the canal and watch the people feeding the duck and swans. On our journey back we decided to sit in the public booths, we ordered something to drink from the Buffet car on the train, it is very well stocked with food, drinks and all sorts. There are lovely little gift shops at all the stations where you are able to purchase memorabilia or some lovely goodies.
What did you enjoy the most?
Our favourite part of this experience was chatting to Andrew the conductor whom is very knowledgeable and just taking in the lovely country side. The sheer beauty of the Autunm colours with the changing season.
