What did you get up to?
On arrival there was a friendly face to check us in and provide recommendations of where to eat and visit within the town. Directions were provided to the bedroom, along with the wifi password and a telephone number to call if we were planning on returning to the hotel after the car park closure times. However, there was an on site restaurant and bar for those would prefer to have a quiet night in.
The bedroom itself was spacious, comfortable and had a lot of character. We found our night extremely peaceful, and we woke feeling well rested. Check out was easy and stress free, we left the hotel feeling relaxed and pleased with our experience.

What did you get up to?
When we arrive we were impressed with the attention to detail Brooklands offers. This included the high quality of the spa, the friendly bar tender pouring us the drinks, and the cleanliness of the room that we were treated to. Not only were we treated to a fantastic view in the room but ‘Mercedes Benz world’ was right opposite the hotel! This allowed us to view the elite fleet of cars, only 50 metres away from our hotel room. This is a fantastic location for you and a loved one and something that I would highly recommend. I can’t wait to go again!
What did you enjoy the most?
Everything about the experience was perfect, from the helpful staff and delicious food, to the spacious and luxurious room that was our living area for the night. 10/10 and would definitely go again!
Top Tip
Remember to make time to view ‘Mercedes Benz world’, as there is even more to see just across the road!

Georgina was so accommodating and nothing was too much trouble.
What did you get up to?
Upon arrival, the host Georgina come out to the car and personally greeted us, she offered help with our bags and took us through to the garden of Woodside Cottage where The Potting Shed is located. Georgina provided us with a tour of the Potting Shed, answered all questions we had in regards to what is in the area, best places to grab some dinner and took our breakfast order for the morning which is cooked and delivered to the shed at a time that suited us! The shed was clean, tidy and offered everything we could possibly need for an overnight stay. We were given a key for the shed and an access code for the exterior door. Overall, we had the most amazing night away.
What did you enjoy the most?
The garden where the shed is located is absolutely beautiful and filled with colourful flowers and a quaint outdoor seating area. We loved sitting here and enjoying the views.

The hotel is in a fantastic location!
What did you get up to?
My husband and I recently visited the quirky 17th Century Charles Cotton Country House Hotel, for a lovely one night break in the heart of the Peak District.
We arrived in the evening, and after a quick change decided to go down for drinks in the bar before having dinner in the restaurant area. It was a surprisingly vibrant atmosphere despite the small village location and we enjoyed a delicious home cooked 3 course meal each, before wandering out to the village for an evening walk and a few more drinks in another local pub.
In the morning we had a choice of tables to sit at in the impressive ornate dining hall, all overlooking the beautiful village square, and enjoyed our Derbyshire cooked breakfast.
What did you enjoy the most?
Without doubt the best part of this was exploring the surroundings. The hotel is in a fantastic location for exploring the Peak District, and after our breakfast we decided to join a few other guests on one of the famous local walks.
Top Tip
1. Make a full weekend of it, arriving as early as possible the day you check in, or staying in the area a little longer on the day you check out, so that you have time to fully explore and appreciate the stunning Peak district
2. I would recommend the restaurant for your evening dinner, delicious home cooked food!
3. Pop over the road to the cosy Devonshire Arms for a few drinks if you have time, and check out Hartington Farm Shop before heading home!
